Rebekah, MHA
Office Manager
Rebekah joined the Vision Source Insight Eyecare family in March 2013.
After spending more than 10 years at Vision Source, she has a hard time choosing her favorite part of being office manager. Rebekah enjoys seeing patients year after year, to talk about their family and their lives. She also enjoys the continuous learning that occurs– Rebekah expands her knowledge base of optometry more and more each year. One of Rebekah’s favorite parts of her role is training new team members and teaching them everything she has learned over the years.
Rebekah fell in love with the optometry field accidentally. When she began working at Vision Source in 2013, she was in college studying to be a teacher. Once she started working in optometry, she knew she could never leave; rather, she switched her major to healthcare management, and remains in the field 10 years later! After completing dual enrollment during junior and senior years of high school, Rebekah received her bachelor’s degree in healthcare management in just two years, before receiving her master’s degree in healthcare administration.
In her free time, Rebekah fulfills her passion for travel! She often plans road trips in a self-converted camper van that she and her husband built. Rebekah also loves Universal Studios, in Orlando, Florida, where she has had an annual pass for the last 5 years. She loves to go camping, skiing, and taking several international trips per year. Rebekah loves to scuba dive, particularly in Cozumel, Mexico, and has been on 50+ dives in the short 3 years that her and her husband have had their scuba diving certifications. She has been on 15 cruises, and visited more places in the Caribbean than she can count. When asked her favorite travel adventure thus far, she says hands down, that it was her 2023 trip to Hawaii!
Bonus fact about Rebekah is that she has a big family– 3 sisters (including a twin sister), 2 brothers, and 12 nieces and nephews (some to whom she’s been an aunt to before her birth)!
René
Clinical Pre-Tester
René joined the Vision Source Insight Eyecare family in July 2022.
With over 7 years of experience in the world of optometry, René’s favorite element of his role is utilizing our state-of-the-art equipment to help patients. He socializes and connects with each of his patients, as he prepares them for their visit with the doctor.
René has successfully achieved 2 certifications– a Certified Paraoptometric certification (CPO) and a National Contact Lens Examiner certification (NCLE). His knowledge further supports his ability to provide quality care to patients and lend a helping hand to each provider!
In his free time, René can be found playing soccer, hitting the gym, and playing video games.
Bonus fact about René is that he speaks English, Spanish, and is currently learning to speak Japanese!
Christine
Optician
Christine joined the Vision Source Insight Eyecare family in October 2022.
After working years in the service industry, as a bartender/mixologist and bar manager, Christine started her journey into optical in July of 2015. She credits her previous career as a reason why she loves to see people smile and constantly happy. In fact, Christine’s favorite aspect of her role at Vision Source is seeing her patients’ happiness after they receive their glasses! She believes picking out your next pair of glasses should be a fun experience– when it comes to style, Christine really enjoys helping people step out of their normal comfort zones.
Christine is dedicated to continuous learning in the realm of optical. She enjoys attending various trainings with Essilor and Vision Source, to ensure she can provide each patient with the best products and latest lens technologies. Christine provides recommendations that fit patients’ needs, so that they all have a pleasant and memorable experience.
In her free time, Christine is the best animal mom! She has two pets: a cat named Stormi and a sweet, goofy, three-year-old Goldendoodle named Thor. Christine spends a lot of time with her big baby Thor when she is not in the office– Thor measures up to his name, at a whopping 72 pounds! She walks the trails with him and enjoys exploring all the dog-friendly establishments that Atlanta has to offer. When Christine is not loving on her fur babies, she is enjoying dancing, traveling, and watching anything that is spooky or supernatural!
Bonus fact about Christine is that she is originally from the Boston area, but she has lived all over– including North Carolina, where she moved from to Atlanta in October 2022, for new opportunities and the great foodie scene!
Jennifer
Front Desk Team Member & Clinical Pre-Tester
Jennifer joined the Vision Source Insight Eyecare family in June 2023.
Despite her role at Vision Source being her first in optometry, interacting with patients in the medical field is nothing new for Jennifer! She began working in a psychiatric office in downtown New York, before moving on to work as a dental assistant for the pediatric population, and finally as an EMT for a few years, before moving to Georgia from New York in November 2022. Jennifer’s favorite part about her current job is the patient interactions– she really enjoys the organic conversations she experiences with patients. Ever since she started working at Vision Source, she has learned a lot about herself and others!
Jennifer received her education in upstate New York, where she attended University at Albany– State University of New York. She majored in biology and received a minor in journalism.
In her free time, Jennifer travels a lot! She also spends her time reading, hiking, and enjoying the occasional horseback riding trail. Jennifer is a spoken word poet– she participates in poetry slams and local open mics, and she even has viral videos of her work on social media! She is a proud dog mom of 3, 2 Frenchies and a Maltipom.
Bonus fact about Jennifer is that her first language was Spanish, and she did not learn English until she started school!
Zoe
Front Desk Team Member
Zoe joined the Vision Source Insight Eyecare family in September 2023.
Fresh into the world of optometry, Zoe has already identified her favorite part of her role at Vision Source. She loves being able to assist all patients in making their time within our office an inviting and smooth experience. Over the many months to come, Zoe hopes to constantly grow within her role and always remain a helpful member of our front desk team!
In her free time, Zoe loves to challenge herself to learn new things. Whether starting a new hobby, or adventuring to a new location, she is always open to partaking in the unknown. Between spending time with her cat, Rocket, to hiking with her dog, Beau, Zoe loves devoting time to her fur babies. Her animals will forever hold a special place in her heart.
Bonus fact about Zoe is that she can be found painting watercolors, when she is not in the office!
